Compensation Range: $19.49 - $22.94/ hour

Position Summary:
The Summer Student will support the Finance and Purchasing teams with administrative, data maintenance, and process improvement tasks. This role provides exposure to financial operations, vendor management, and procurement processes while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in system records and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update the vendor dictionary (master data) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Process and implement edits and updates related to vendor information, activity status, categorization of vendors, BOBI compliant, etc.
  • Support updates for policy-related changes, ensuring systems and documentation reflect current state
  • Provide general administrative support, including documentation, filing, and report generation as required
  • Assist with aspects of projects as required, including enhanced financial data reporting and workflow efficiency
  • Respond to internal inquiries related to vendor records and purchasing processes

Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Finance, Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify inconsistencies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Familiarity with financial systems or ERP platforms would be preferred
  • Experience working with data entry, records management, or administrative functions preferred
